Pucón is a charming small town located in the beautiful south of Chile, in the Araucanía region, right next to Villarrica lake.
It has many activities to offer, from sightseeing and hot springs, to water rafting and climbing up an active volcano.
It´s also a great hub to explore the region, with many lakes, small towns and national parks closeby.
Pucón has developed greatly during the past 30 years, and you can see that when you walk, but the town remains as it´s always been, cosy, beautiful and surprising.
To get to Pucón from Santiago you have a few choices: the easiest one is taking an overnight bus. You can also fly to Temuco, and then take a 1.5 hr bus to Pucón. In January and February there´s also straight flights from Santiago to Pucón.
